Kathy Liebert is one of the pioneers for female poker players. She began playing low-limit poker in Colorado in 1991 and entered the tournament circuit in 1994. Her biggest accomplishment so far is winning the first Party Poker Million tournament bagging $1 million. She is the first woman in poker to win a tournament with a million dollar prize. However, she only took home half of it because she made a money deal with the 2nd and 3rd placers, Berj Kacherian and Phil Hellmuth. Liebert is currently ranked in the Top 10 for top money winners in the WSOP for women.
